Whether a person is healthy or recovering from a disease or injury, it increases heart muscle strength and endurance. Additionally, it enhances energy levels, strengthens the heart and lungs, increases blood oxygenation, burns calories, and lowers cholesterol. Cardiovascular conditioning is achieved through aerobic exercise. The word “aerobic” means “with oxygen,” which indicates that breathing regulates the quantity of oxygen that can reach the muscles to aid in their ability to burn fuel and move.
